Yule Scores Six as Roos Cruise Past Dolphins, 16-5

Riverdale, NY – Trenton Yule scored six goals to lead the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team to a 16-5 road win at the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday.
 
Yule scored four times in the first half as the Roos (8-4) dominated play in the opening half taking an 8-1 lead into intermission. SUNY Canton continued to control play in the second half doubling up the Dolphins, 8-4.
 
Yule led all players with seven points on six goals and one assist as he is now just 10 goals shy of 100 in his career. Josh Yelvington (4-0-4), Jake Sutton (2-2-4) and Kyle Smith (0-4-4) chipped in four points apiece, while Dante Coco added two goals and one assist and Brad Sandroni finished with a goal and assist.
 
Brandon Rodee had a solid game in the midfield with a game-high nine ground balls and Trevor Hughes went 12-for-15 on face-offs, while Nick Walberger finished with a mark of 4-for-6 in the X. Brandon Schmidt totaled six ground balls and caused two turnovers as the Roos had large advantages in shots on goal (32-12), ground balls (44-28) and face offs (17-7).
 
Anthony Pedatella led the Dolphins (1-7) with three goals.
 
Kody Kocsis made seven saves in his eighth victory of the season, while Christian Brody turned aside 15 shots in the loss.
