Canton, NY – Josh Yelvington scored six goals and
Kyle Smith added six assists as the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team earned a 13-11 win v. Cazenovia College on Saturday afternoon.

The Roos (7-3) jumped out to a 5-2 lead after the first quarter and took a 7-5 advantage into intermission. Yelvington led Canton with three first-half goals, while
Dante Coco scored twice and Smith dished out four assists.

The teams played to an even 6-6 score after halftime with the Roos holding the upper hand 4-3 in the third quarter to lead 11-8 heading to the fourth.

Yelvington led all players with six goals, while Smith tallied a game-high six assists. Coco and
Andrew Garrett also chipped in two goals each for the Roos.
Brandon Rodee had an impressive game in the midfield recording game-highs of eight ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Connor Smith led Cazenovia (1-5) with three goals and two assists, while Jake Bertrand added a hat trick.

Kody Kocsis made 13 saves in his seventh win of the season, while Jared Hurlbutt made 11 stops for the Wildcats.
