Â
Endicott (17-2-2, 8-0-2 CHC), who is receiving votes in the latest D3hockey.com Top 10 poll, got on the board first just 1 minute and 12 seconds in off a defensive zone turnover. Lauren Ferraiuolo poked the puck to Gibbs who beat
Brooke Susac over the stick for the early lead.
Â
The Roos (7-11-2, 3-4-1 CHC) responded five minutes later when
Tess Adams picked off a pass in the Endicott defensive zone sneaking the puck through the five-hole of Gull goaltender Alyssa Peterson. Endicott held a slim 6-5 shots advantage after the opening period.
Â
Endicott regained the lead at 4:18 of the second period when Gibbs took a shot from the left circle that went off the end boards and Michaela McNamara poked the puck to Meier out in front who put home her first of the game.
Â
Five minutes later the Gulls extended the lead to two when Emma McDowell gathered the puck behind her own net and flicked it out in front where Teneal Perry redirected the puck to Ashlie Jones between the circles. Jones went bar down on a shot for the 3-1 lead.
Â
Meier then scored back-to-back goals less than five minutes apart to complete the hat trick. The first trickled between the pads of Susac and the second and the other beat Susac near post over the stick and between the left post. Gibbs capped the second period scoring outburst picking off the puck in the Roos defensive zone before deking Susac stick side for her second tally of the game.
Â

Tessa Dobson skated left to right leaving the puck for
Sydney Jordan. Her shot from the point deflected to Parigi in the low slot who finished off her first collegiate goal.
Â
Brooke Susac made 13 saves over the first two periods, while
