Three Roos Score in Double Figures in Win Over Thomas

Waterville, ME – The Roos defeated Thomas College 76-68 in their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener on Friday. Robert Holliday Jr., Danny Santana, and Brandon Adkisson all scored in double figures to help lead the Roos to their first victory in the NAC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Robert Holliday led the Roos with 23 points, while Danny Santana posted 17 points, along with 13 from Brandon Adkisson. Jordan Stewart and Joseph Werner tallied 9 and 8 points, respectively.
  • The Roos led the Terriers in rebounds 44-28. Werner (11) and Andrew Fitch (9) aided the efforts on the glass. 
  •  The Terriers were led in scoring by Demetris Webster and Jordan Goodson with 17 points each.
  • The Roos shot 50% from the field and 76% from the line while Thomas shot 40% from the field and 50% from the line.

 
FROM THE BENCH
"Any time that you can get a road win, especially in conference play, you will take it," Head Coach Ben Thompson said. "I was proud of our effort tonight, but we need to do a much better job of taking care of the ball tomorrow. Thomas plays really hard, so we will have to match their effort and energy to have a chance to win."
