Castine, ME – Melissa McMaster posted 13 kills and
Marissa Ixtlahuac and
Camryn Smeatin tallied eight kills apiece as the SUNY Canton women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-10) sweep v. Maine Presque Isle to punch their ticket to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship.
The Roos (14-12) will take on host and top overall seed Maine Maritime Academy (21-6) on Saturday at 12 p.m. for the conference title and the ensuing automatic qualifier to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) D-III Tournament.
Jenna Roat finished with a team-best 15 digs, while
Peyton Robinson posted a match-high 36 assists to go with 12 digs.
Jenifer Morgan-Aubin finished with 11 digs and
Tatum Lafrance chipped in 10 digs defensively. Roat and Ixtlahuac pinpointed four service aces each, while Lafrance posted three aces.
