Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton men's basketball team used 33 points off the bench including 14 second-half points from
George Nehma in 11 minutes as the Roos earned an 84-78 victory v. Paul Smith's College on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos jumped out to a 12-3 lead in the opening minutes – SUNY Canton's first six made field goals were all three-pointers.
- The Bobcats trimmed the lead to 27-23 midway through the opening half.
- Paul Smith's took its first lead of the game at 34-33 with four minutes left in the first – Canton led 45-40 at intermission.
- Paul Smith's led by as many as five (62-57) midway through the second half.
- The Roos used a key 9-2 run to open up a 71-68 lead with 4:27 to play – Canton led for the final 5:53 of the contest.
- Canton had four players finish in double figures in Robert Holliday, Jr. (16), Brandon Adkisson (14), George Nehma (14) and Danny Santana (10).
- Nehma established a new career-high with 14 points, all of which came in 11 minutes after intermission.
- Palmer nearly finished with a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds, while Joseph Werner hauled down a game-high 12 rebounds. The Roos out rebounded the Bobcats 51-39 overall and 24-15 on the offensive glass.
- It was a tale of two halves as the Roos shot 50 percent from three-point range in the opening half (8-for-16) but went 0-for-13 after intermission.
- Both teams combined for 82 points in the paint, while the Roos held the upper hand in second chance points (17-8) and bench points (33-25).

SUNY Canton returns to the hardwood on Friday when it hosts No. 14 nationally-ranked Plattsburgh State in non-conference action at 5 p.m. in the Roos House.
