South Burlington, VT – Michael Cerasuolo posted a 22 save shutout and Bailey Conklin and Christopher Mammas found the back of the net as the SUNY Canton men's hockey team earned a 2-0 road win at St. Michael's College on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless opening period, Conklin tallied his first collegiate goal at 15:09 of the second period to give the Roos the lead. Reily McIntosh dumped a puck into the zone that was caught and fumbled by Purple Knights (1-4-1) goaltender Chris Johnson. Conklin picked the puck up on the left side and flicked home the first goal of his rookie season.

The Roos (2-4-0) doubled the lead with 1:35 remaining when Mammas scored his second goal in as many days. Sean David stole the puck behind the St. Michael's net and circled around the net firing a shot on goal but Mammas put home the rebound for the 2-0 final.

Cerasuolo stopped 22 shots for the Roos, while Johnson made 20 stops for the Purple Knights.
