Canton, NY – In the second half, Josh Geller hit the crossbar followed by an Evran Akman rebound for the Roos (5-5-2) lone goal of the game. A Castleton goal in the 14th minute followed by a second in the 23rd put the Spartans up 2-0, with an eventual 2-1 win over the Roos.
Justin Gardner showed strong defensive efforts completing a successful clearance across the danger area with just under 20 minutes remaining. Dustin Brown took a ball from a Castleton defender for a strong pass to Gardner that came up just short of a goal with 13 minutes remaining. Mouhammed Thiam finished the day with two saves in goal for the Roos. Ryan McKay made three saves for the Spartans (6-4-1).
