Seven Players Record a Point in 4-3 Men’s Soccer Road Win

Cazenovia, NY – Four different players found the back of the net and seven Roos recorded a point as the SUNY Canton men's soccer team scored three straight goals to earn a 4-3 road win at Cazenovia College on Wednesday.

Jake Robson opened the scoring for Cazenovia off a pass from David Andreasson in the 22nd minute. Demba Ba leveled the game two minutes later when he headed home a Connor Bruyn corner kick.

The Wildcats (3-4-0) regained the lead in the 38th minute on a Kyle Johnson header off a Robson corner kick. Cazenovia held an 8-5 shots on goal advantage taking a 2-1 lead into intermission.

The Roos (4-5-1) controlled much of the play after halftime boasting a 9-2 shots on goal advantage. Canton got the second half scoring started in the 57th minute when Hector Martinez scored the third goal of his rookie campaign. Twelve minutes later Erdous Lebron gave the Roos their first lead of the day when he redirected a Josh Geller cross with his head past Wildcat keeper Tom Nicholls.

Pedro DeSouza found Nick Magliano for his second goal of the season in the 76th minute which proved to be the eventual game-winner. Andreasson closed out the scoring for Cazenovia in the 82nd minute on another header.

Mouhammed Thiam made six saves in the opening half, while Connor Campbell turned aside one shot after halftime. Nicholls made 10 saves for the Wildcats.
