Utica, NY – Nick Magliano scored his third goal of the season but host Utica College scored three first half goals to earn a 4-1 win on Tuesday evening.

Alex Purcell netted his fourth goal of the season in the 11th minute and Patrick Hynes and Julian Fonseca added goals seven minutes apart with the latter coming just 1 minute, four seconds before halftime. The Pioneers held a 6-3 shots on goal advantage taking a 3-0 lead into intermission.

Fonseca added his second of the game and third of the season in the 56th minute to give Utica (6-7-0) a 4-0 cushion. Magliano got the Roos (4-6-1) on the board in the 69th minute when he received a through ball from Kyle Smith and beat the keeper into the left side of the net.
Connor Campbell made four saves for Canton, while Jonathan Side turned aside four shots for the Pioneers.
