Page’s Third Goal of the Season Secures Roos Weekend Sweep at JWU

CHS BOX SCORE

Pawtucket, RI – Grace Page scored her third goal of the season and Tess Adams added an empty-netter as the SUNY Canton women's hockey team picked up a crucial road win at Johnson & Wales University on Saturday.

The Roos improve to 12-10-1 overall and 6-4-0 in Colonial Hockey Conference play, while the Wildcats fall to 8-14-1 and 3-7-0.

After a scoreless opening period Page lit the lamp off passes from Whitney Bernier and Brittany Miner at 4:11 of the middle period. The Wildcats pulled the goalie with one minute remaining but 22 seconds later Adams slotted her team-leading 17th goal of the season to secure the win.

Brooke Susac had another strong outing in net extending her own program shutout record to four as she stopped all 24 shots she faced. Kami Weiner made 39 saves for JWU.

The women's hockey team returns home on Friday when it hosts Stevenson University at 7 p.m. in the Roos House. Stay up to date with the latest news directly from the SUY Canton Athletics department by "liking" us on Facebook and "following" our TwitterInstagram and YouTube accounts.
