Canton, NY – Josh Sova scored twice and the SUNY Canton men's hockey team exploded for four scores in the third period to double up visiting Brockport, 6-3, on Friday evening in the Roos House.

Vili-Jesper Koivula scored his first goal of the season just 69 seconds into the contest off passes from
David Hopfer and
Tyler Bullard. Tim Kielich knotted the game at one for Brockport (4-2-1) with 54 seconds remaining in the first on the power play.

The Roos (2-3-0) seized the momentum with just four second remaining in the opening period when senior captain
Josh Sova slotted his team-leading fourth goal of the season.

Aidan Verbeke tied the game for a second time for the Golden Eagles at 8:38 of the middle period as the teams skated to second intermission tied at two tied at 18 shots apiece.

Four of the Roos 11 shots in the third period found the back of the net as
Patrick Farnan and
Tyler Ralph found the back of the net for the first time on the season with
Joe Deveny scoring his second of the season and Sova sealing the win with an empty-netter with 53 seconds to play.

Austin Washkurak stopped 28 shots in the win, while Matt Schneider made 23 stops for Brockport.
