Rowe and Grace Score in Setback v. Bengals

Fort Kent, ME – Madison Rowe and Bailey Grace both found the back of the net, but Tolu Oyeniyi scored twice as the University of Maine Fort Kent earned a 4-2 win against the SUNY Canton women's soccer team on Saturday.

The Bengals (8-1-2) scored three times in the first 23:45 of action including a pair of goals 1 minute, 16 seconds apart to open a 3-0 lead. The Roos (4-5-0) responded in the 35th minute off the foot of Madison Rowe. Abbey D'Agostino delivered a ball up field to Rowe, who put home the second goal of her rookie season.

Maine Fort Kent regained the three-goal advantage 13 minutes out of halftime when Tolu Oyeniyi tallied her second goal of the game. Canton added a second goal in the 82nd minute when Bailey Grace slotted her first strike of the season off a pass from Brooke Woodrow.

Allison Wakefield turned aside eight shots for the Roos, while Alice Van made four saves for the Bengals.
