Plattsburgh opened a three-goal advantage three minutes later when Kyle Pfaff found Chris Robertson for a diving header in the box that deflected off Roo goalkeeper Mouhammed Thiam and in.

Plattsburgh State held a 12-2 shots and 6-0 shots on goal advantage as they took a 3-0 lead into intermission.

The Cardinals added a fourth goal in the 50th minute when Marchena delivered a beautiful pass from near midfield to Brody Cepiel who finished short-side inside the right post.

Thiam made three saves for the Roos, while Kiernan Kirby made two saves for his third clean sheet of the season, improving to 3-0.
