Potsdam, NY – Junior keeper
Austin Lamay (Malone, NY) had a big night making eight saves but host SUNY Potsdam got a late goal in the 77th minute to secure a 1-0 victory on Tuesday evening.
Â
Lamay made five huge first half saves to help the game remain scoreless as the SUNY Canton offense was able to post four shots in the opening 45 minutes but could not get one to land on target. Lamay's stellar play kept the Bears off the scoreboard headed into intermission.
Â
The Roos (0-2-1) got their lone shot on goal on the evening from
Joash Romain () in the 74th minute. Minutes later the Roos experienced an unfortunate play as Romain saved the ball from going into the back of the net but his clearance deflected off Lamay into the back of the net for the Bears lone tally.
Lamay made eight saves on the evening, while Nick Davies stopped one shot for the Bears (2-0-1).

The Roos are back in action this weekend when they take part in the Alfred University Tournament. SUNY Canton opens play on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. against Medaille College. Stay up to date with the latest news directly from the SUNY Canton Athletics department by "liking" us onÂ
