Canton, NY- The SUNY Canton athletics department hosted time trials for the 2016 Special Olympic Summer Games North Country regional on Thursday. The official summer games will be held in the Roos House on Saturday, April 30, 2016.
Student-athletes and Special Olympians gathered together to go through various activities for the time trials including running and walking events in the 25, 50, 100 and 200 meters. Other events included softball toss, javelin throw, basketball skills and bean bag drop.
Two different sessions were scheduled as the first ran from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Roos House.
