Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton women's volleyball team battled throughout but dropped a tough three set match to Lebanon Valley (19-25, 23-25, 14-25) on Sunday morning in the Roos House. With the win the Dutchmen improve to 18-5 on the season, while the Roos drop to 13-13.
SUNY Canton honored its three graduating seniors
Kelsy Cornish (Honeyoe, NY),

On the court, the Roos got out to a quick 10-5 start in the opening set thanks in part to a pair of service aces from Cornish. However, LVC bounced back with 7 of the next 13 points to get within 13-12 forcing a Canton timeout. Trailing 16-15 the Dutchmen tallied six straight points to open up a five point advantage on the way to the 25-19 opening set win.
SUNY Canton once again got off to a quick 9-3 start in the second set. The Dutchmen battled back again with a 9-3 run of their own to dead lock the set at 12. The Roos knotted the set at 23-23 late but back-to-back putdowns from Jess Atieh closed out the set, 25-23.
