Match 3 – Box
Following pool play the Roos came out of Pool B as the third ranked team as they were pitted against Pool A's two seed, St. Mary of the Woods College, in the quarterfinals of elimination play.

The Roos got off to a slow start as the Pomeroys posted twice as many kills (12) as SUNY Canton (6) in the opening frame. SUNY Canton settled down in the second stanza to the tune of 13 kills (13-3-28) for a .357 team hitting percentage en route to the 25-17 victory.

SUNY Canton carried the momentum into the third jumping out to a 10-1 lead early on but the Pomeroys stormed back to earn a 25-23 third set victory. The Roos showed their mental toughness dominating in the fourth set with 11 kills (11-3-22) while using stifling defense to limit St. Mary of the Woods to just five kills (5-5-28).

The match and tournament came down to the fifth set for both teams. SUNY Canton led 4-0 to open the play to 15.
