Syracuse, NY – The SUNY Canton men's basketball team earned an 89-74 road win against SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry on Monday evening at Onondaga Community College.
The win improves the Roos to 10-3 overall on the season, while the loss drops the Mighty Oaks to 4-11. The 10 wins are the most victories in a season for third year Head Coach
Jim Bechtel.
Romario Fletcher (Queens, NY) led the offense with 20 points on 5-for-9 shooting including a 9-for-12 mark at the free throw line, while
Sam Annorh (Queens, NY) added 16 points and five assists.
Khalil Bratton (Queens, NY) chipped in 14 points shooting 60 percent from the field and 67 percent from behind the arc, while
Kam Peterkin (Harlem, NY) posted nine in the scoring column.
Vonallen Pickett (Brooklyn, NY) and
Tyler Ellison (New York, NY) finished with six points each off the bench. The Roos led SUNY ESF 56-39 at intermission. SUNY Canton turned the ball over just 10 times, while forcing the Mighty Oaks to give the ball up 20 times.
