Buffalo, NY – Peyton Stafne (St. Louis Park, MN) stopped a career-high 46 shots but the women's hockey team was unable to get the offense going falling 8-1 to host Buffalo State on Saturday afternoon.
Kara Goodwin scored twice and Christine Harris added a power play goal as Buffalo State led 3-0 midway through the second period.
Sydney Kinder (New York, NY) continued her strong play scoring the Roos (2-18-1) first short-handed goal at 17:41 of the second. The goal was her third in the last four contests.
The Bengals (7-5-2) tacked on five more scores in the final period including two more from Goodwin. Stafne stopped 46 shots, while Megan Sackett made 17 saves for Buffalo State.
