Box Score 2 (Plattsburgh, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's volleyball team split on the opening day of the Best Western-Ground Round Cardinal Classic at SUNY Plattsburgh as they lost to Division II St. Michael's College 3-1 and then swept Elms College 3-0.
In the opening match the Roos (7-1) lost 17-25, 25-23, 22-25 and 19-25 and then rebounded against Elms winning in straight sets 25-8, 25-14 and 25-22.

Danielle Swanston (Burke, N.Y.) led the Roos against St. Michael's with 11 kills. Sophomore

Morgan Bills (Walworth, N.Y.) each had nine kills. Freshman

Shiloh Bourgeois (Keesville, N.Y.) contributed six service aces.
In the Roos second match against Elms sophomore
Mackenzie Mynter (Churchville, N.Y.) had 17 assists and four aces. Bills added 11 kills. Reynolds contributed seven kills and three aces. Bourgeois notched five kills and two aces. Carroll had 11 digs and
Kiana Archer (Plattsburgh, N.Y.) recorded seven assists.
SUNY Canton faces SUNY Plattsburgh on Saturday at 12 noon.
