Scott Dixon (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored on a tip in at the buzzer lifting the SUNY Canton men's basketball team to a thrilling 58-57 win over the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Sunday in Maine.
The Roos improved to 9-6 overall with their second win over the Owls who dropped to 3-10.
SUNY Canton trailed 57-56 with six seconds left after Presque Isle's Aaron Hutchins nailed a deep 3-pointer to put the home team ahead. After a Presque Isle timeout, sophomore guard

With time winding down, Vaughn collided with a defender as he reached the paint and flipped an off-balance shot towards the basket. The ball caromed hard off the class and Dixon, trailing the play, was able to tip the ball through the hoop before the horn went off.
Vaughn led the Roos with 18 points, three rebounds and three assists.
