Kelly recorded a team-high five points on three goals and two assists recording a +2 on-ice rating in a 1-1 weekend for the Roos. He finished with a game-high four points on two goals and two assists in a 9-1 win against Morrisville on Friday. Kelly scored the team’s first and seventh goals while recording the primary assist on their third and fifth tallies. The freshman then scored Canton’s lone goal to get the team within 2-1 at 15:45 of the third period in an eventual 2-1 loss at No. 14 nationally-ranked Cortland on Saturday. With results around the league this weekend the Roos clinched their first SUNYAC playoff berth in their first year in the conference. Kelly now leads the Roos with four power play goals.
