Dayter caged a game-high six goals to go with an assist, four draw controls and a ground ball in the Roos 17-9 loss to No. 23 nationally-ranked Shenandoah University in an NCAA First Round game on Saturday. The senior scored six of the team’s first eight goals of the game. Her second goal of the game put Canton on top 3-2 midway through the first quarter. The Cohoes, NY native tallied back-to-back scores to end the first quarter and start the second as the Roos were tied at 5-5 early in the second. Dayter closed out her scoring with back-to-back goals early in the third quarter to get Canton within 10-8. She finished the game going 3-for-5 on free-position shots. This marks the Roos fourth NCAA Tournament berth in program history after winning their fourth NAC championship on May 5th.
