LaPorte hit a remarkable .583 (7-for-12) over the Roos first three games of the season with seven hits, a double, three runs and 2 RBI as he posted a .643 on-base percentage. He had at least a hit in every game including going 6-for-8 in doubleheader against Wells on Saturday.
