Barone had two home runs, scored three times and drove in eight runs leading the Roos to a 3-2 record in conference play last week. He went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and drove in a pair of runs in a 9-8 come-from-behind win in Game 1 v. SUNY Poly on Tuesday. On Friday he pitched a scoreless ninth inning with a strike out against NAC West leader SUNY Cobleskill. On Saturday against the Tigers Barone hit a homer in each game, combined to drive in six runs and hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh of Game 2 to lift the Roos to an 11-8 win and hand Cobleskill their first conference loss. The victory along with other NAC results this weekend clinched a playoff spot for the Roos.
