Bannister scored four goals as the Roos split a pair of weekend games v. Bryn Athyn. The rookie scored the game-winning goal with one minute left in the first period of Saturday’s 6-1 win and added a third period goal. In Sunday’s 7-4 loss he tallied Canton’s first goal of the game, which came short-handed, and later added the team’s third goal of the game. The short-handed goal is just the fifth of that variety for the Roos this season. Coming into the weekend Bannister had two goals this season and he doubled that output over two games this weekend.
