Alvarez combined to stop 43 of the 46 shots she faced (.935 save %) as the Roos split a pair of conference games last weekend. The assistant captain turned aside 31 of the 34 shots she faced in a 3-1 loss to Cortland, a team receiving votes in the USCHO Top 15 Poll, on Friday. The senior followed that up with a 12 save shutout in a 2-0 win v. Morrisville on Saturday. It marked the 13th career shutout for the Finland native, which set a program record breaking the mark of 12 set by Brooke Susac ’20. The 14 wins by the Roos tie a program record set by the 2016-17 team and their eight conference wins are their most since they joined the Northeast Women’s Hockey League (NEWHL) in the 2019-20 season. The 7 conference wins are the most they have had in a conference in program history as they previously had seven conference wins on three occasions (2021-22, 2016-17, 2015-16).
