Abreu was dominant in the faceoff circle going 33-for-46 (.717 win %) with a remarkable 25 ground balls, 15 more than any other player on the field in a crucial 23-19 win v. Maine Maritime on Sunday. Abreu shattered the SUNY Canton NCAA D-III era single-game program record with 25 ground balls, breaking the previous mark of 16 he set earlier this season along with Jack Keenan (4/25/14 v. Keuka). He also set the single-season program record for ground balls (98) breaking the previous mark of Brandon Rodee’18 in 2018 (92).  With the win the Roos drew even with the Mariners in the league standings at 5-2 but own the tiebreaker with one game remaining. The senior captain also added a career-high two assists in the victory.
