Welch had an impressive week hitting .684 (13-for-19) with two home runs, three doubles, five runs, and 12 RBI as the Roos went 4-3 over seven league games v. Cazenovia and SUNY Poly last week. He went 7-for-9 with a double, a walk, a home run and 7 RBI as Canton went 2-2 against Cazenovia (13-4 and 4-3 wins, 5-4 and 18-9 losses). Welch then went 6-for-10 with two doubles, a home run and 5 RBI as the Roos went 2-1 in a weekend series v. SUNY Poly (6-0 and 10-2 wins, 9-5 loss). Among those performances he had a 4-for-4, 4 RBI performance v. Cazenovia, a 3-for-4 outing v. SUNY Poly and a 2-for-4, 4 RBI game v. SUNY Poly.
