Marshall had an outstanding week for the Roos recording a pair of top five finishes in two events. The senior captain led the team carding a round of 3-over par, 75, to finish in second place at the NVU-Johnson Invitational at Stowe Country Club on Wednesday. He went out in 39 before coming home in even par, 36. Marshall led the field in both pars (13) and par 3 scoring average (3.20), while ranking second in par 4 scoring (4.00).Â
The Syracuse native continued his strong play over the weekend posting round of 3-over par, 75, and two-over par, 74, to finish in a tie for fifth place at 149 (+5) in the highly competitive St. Lawrence Invitational. Marshall helped the Roos shoot the second lowest round of any team in the field on Sunday (304) behind only tournament winner, New York University (281). Marshall tied for second in the field in par 3 scoring (3.13) and ranked tied for second in par 5 scoring (4.50). Marshall was also one of just four golfers on the weekend to record an eagle.Â
