Whitley had an impressive game defensively for the Roos posting game-highs of nine ground balls and four caused turnovers in a 9-2 road win at SUNY Poly on Wednesday. Whitley’s nine ground balls are the third most by any Canton player in program history. The rookie was pivotal to a Roos defense that allowed just two goals over 60 minutes of action combining to hold the Wildcats scoreless in both the second and fourth quarters.
