Trevor Christopher was named an Assistant Men's Hockey Coach at SUNY Canton in August 2025 after serving in a volunteer role during the 2024-25 season.  

The Roos won nine games including six in league play during the 2024-25 season earning a SUNYAC playoff appearance in their first season in the conference.

"We are also thrilled to welcome Trevor back to our program after serving as a volunteer," Head Coach Alex Boak said at the time of the promotion. "As an alumnus, Trevor's familiarity with our culture and his expertise in strength and conditioning, defense, and recruiting will be instrumental in further developing our team."

Christopher was a four-year member of SUNY Canton's men's hockey program appearing in 48 total games registering eight assists over three seasons after the team didn't play any games during his rookie season due to COVID. He recorded his first collegiate point with an assist in a 4-3 win at Stevenson on October 28th, 2022. He graduated from SUNY Canton in May 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Health & Fitness Promotion. Previously he earned an associate's degree in  Physical Therapist Assistant. 

"I'm incredibly grateful for this new role within a program that has given so much to me," Christopher said. "It's a true honor to help further a culture that my class and generations of alumni have built with pride and passion as we take on this new era."
