Trevor Christopher was named an Assistant Men's Hockey Coach at SUNY Canton in August 2025 after serving in a volunteer role during the 2024-25 season.
SUNY Canton won nine games overall and six games in league play in their first season as a member of the SUNYAC in 2024-25. The Roos qualified for the playoffs in their first season in the conference earning the six seed before falling in the first round to Buffalo State. Niko Schoner was named the SUNY Canton Athletics department's Male Co-Student-Athlete of the Year, while Logan Kelly was named the department's Male Rookie of the Year. Brendan Morrow was one of two male student-athletes to have the highest overall GPA in the graduating class entering the final semester.
"We are also thrilled to welcome Trevor back to our program after serving as a volunteer," Head Coach Alex Boak said at the time of the promotion. "As an alumnus, Trevor's familiarity with our culture and his expertise in strength and conditioning, defense, and recruiting will be instrumental in further developing our team."
Christopher was a four-year member of SUNY Canton's men's hockey program appearing in 48 total games registering eight assists over three seasons after the team didn't play any games during his rookie season due to COVID. He recorded his first collegiate point with an assist in a 4-3 win at Stevenson on October 28th, 2022. He graduated from SUNY Canton in May 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Health & Fitness Promotion.
