Ian Crawford

Coaching Career:
 
Ian started at SUNY Canton in September 2024 as the hitting and catching coach.
 
Prior to Canton Ian spent three years as an assistant at Wells College with Ryan Stevens. He spent two years as the hitting coach. In those years the offense hit .269 with a .361 OBP and then .315 with a .402 OBP. Ian also served as the catching coach for Wells.
 
Playing Career:
Ian played four years for Wells College as a catcher and first baseman. He is the career leader in fielding % for Wells with a .984 fielding %. Ian was a captain, a four-time scholar athlete and received the Wells Express award. Ian played for Jamesville-Dewitt High School and was a captain and received All-Conference honors.
 
Education/Professional:
Ian received a B.S. in Business with a minor in Psychology and Sports Management from Wells College. Ian holds a Master’s degree in Aviation Management from Everglades University. Ian is a certified EMT. Ian holds a pilot’s license, and his full-time job is as the Chief Pilot for a Syracuse-based aviation company.
