Christine Scuderi

Scuderi enters her 25th year as the head athletic trainer at SUNY Canton during the 2024-25 academic year. The Long Island native is responsible for the care, prevention, and treatment of injuries for all SUNY Canton student-athletes.

Prior to joining SUNY Canton, Scuderi was an assistant athletic trainer at Clarkson University and she was also the Golden Knights head women’s soccer and lacrosse coach. Scuderi has also been an assistant coach with the women’s lacrosse team at SUNY Canton.

During the summer and winter Scuderi has served as the head athletic trainer for the Winter and Summer Empire State Games in New York. In that capacity Scuderi was responsible for all training needs at the games while hiring and supervising a large staff of qualified trainers.

Scuderi is a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association Certification Commission.

Scuderi earned an Associate’s degree in Science and Math from Nassau Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education with a concentration in Sports Medicine from Long Island University, C.W. Post campus. In 2007, Scuderi earned her Master’s degree from SUNY Potsdam in Information and Communication Technology in Organizational Leadership and Management.
