Adam Todd enters his 11th year as Head Women's Lacrosse Coach during the 2025-26 academic year. He also enters his fourth year as an Athletic Communications Assistant and also serves as the department's Student Athlete Advisory Committee advisor. 

The Roos won their fourth consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC) championship in May 2024 resulting in their fourth NCAA Tournament berth in program history. Canton led 3-2 against No. 23 nationally-ranked Shenandoah midway through the first quarter and were within 10-8 early in the third quarter of an eventual 17-9 loss in the NCAA First Round. The Roos finished their time in the NAC winning their last 25 conference games. Samantha Dayter was named the NAC Player of the Year (Co-Player) for the fourth consecutive year, while Maddy Caron and Aayliah White earned First Team All-Conference honors. Coach Todd was named the conference's Coach of the Year for the second time as Caroline Nappi, Lindsey Wunder and Olivia Scott earned second team accolades. Dayter finished her career with numerous program records including scoring 400 career points on 221 goals and 179 assists in 56 career games. 

The Roos held an early lead in the 2023 NCAA First Round against SUNY Geneseo before falling to the Knights. Samantha Dayter was named the NAC Player of the Year for the third consecutive season. Maddy Caron and Maddy Thompson earned First Team All-Conference nods and Morgan Montgomery, Lindsey Wunder, Ali Servati and Olivia Scott all earned Second Team All-Conference honors. 

During a historic 2023 season members of the team set numerous program records. Dayter set single-game records in points (16) and assists (10), while tying the single-game goals (9) record. She also set new marks in single-season points (133), goals (73) and assists (60), while posting new career records in points (292), assists (129) and draw controls (231). Caron now owns the single-season draw controls record (129) and Scott set a new program mark for single-season saves (166).

The SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team won its second NAC championship in May 2022 with a 22-6 win over Maine Maritime in the championship game. The Roos fell in the NCAA First Round at Stevens but finished the season with a 12-7 record. Junior Samantha Dayter earned IWLCA Second Team All-Region and NAC Player of the Year honors, while Coach Todd was named the NAC Coach of the Year. Overall nine Roos earned all-conference recognition after an unbeaten conference season. 

The Roos set a program record with 14 wins during the 2019 season and became the first team in SUNY Canton Athletics history to secure an NCAA Tournament berth after a 19-4 win over Maine Farmington in the NAC Championship game, the team's first season in the conference. Todd coached the NAC Player of the Year (Molly Denny), and NAC Defensive Player of the Year (Mia Jermano), as well as five First Team All-Conference and two Second Team All-Conference recipients. The team was also named an Academic Honor Squad by the IWLCA for having a 3.0 team GPA or higher for the 2018-19 academic year and four student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll.

The Roos posted 10 wins during Todd's third season at the helm during 2018. Senior Amanda Woods was named an ECAC First Team All-Star following the season, while sophomore Molly Denny was named the Athletics department's Female Student-Athlete of the Year. Woods was named IWLS Defensive Player of the Year, while Denny and Allison Auger joined her on the First Team as six total Roos were honored.

Academically, four members of the team were honored on the ECAC President's Honor Roll, while four were recognized on the Academic Honor Roll. Three were named to the USCAA All-Academic Team. Jessica Pele and the entire team earned academic honors from the IWLCA. 

Todd led SUNY Canton to a school record (at the time) 11 wins during the 2016 season, his first at the helm, that included wins over schools like Baldwin Wallace College, Wilkes University, Elmira College, Morrisville State College and SUNY Poly. 

SUNY Canton Athletic Director Randy B. Sieminski announced the appointment of Adam Todd as the next head coach of the women's lacrosse program on June 5, 2015. Todd served as an assistant coach during the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

"Our women's lacrosse program has been one of our most successful teams over the past two seasons, and Adam has been an integral part of that success along with fellow coaches Dave Bradman and Pat Martin," Sieminski said. "They have assembled an outstanding group of student-athletes who have excelled both on the field and in the classroom. This past spring they became the first SUNY Canton team in school history to play in back-to-back ECAC playoff tournaments."

"I'm very excited to continue this journey," Todd stated. "When Dave (Bradman) first asked me to help out two years ago I really didn't know what to expect, but I have been energized by working with the team. These players continue to amaze me with their level of commitment to the program and to each other." 

Todd replaced Dave Bradman who founded the program in 2012 and had been the only women's lacrosse coach in school history. Bradman built the program from scratch and was successful in increasing the team's win total every year from two to five to nine and finally ten wins in 2015, including a 19-10 record over his last two seasons. He remains a part of the Roos coaching staff as an assistant coach.

"I can't thank Coach Bradman enough for starting this program and making it a huge success in such a short period of time with the obvious help of some incredible players like Tressa Goolden, Caty Darling and others," Sieminski stated. "He is a legendary lacrosse coach and we've been so fortunate to have him build the foundation for the success of our program. We're also very happy to see him remain an important part of our program by staying on as an assistant." 

"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to continue working by Dave's side," Todd said. "He has been a mentor to me for the past 25 years and is also a very good friend. Working with Dave is like taking a philosophy class from Aristotle - there's so much lacrosse and life wisdom there you can't help but soak it in. Our student-athletes have really responded to his style and I don't see that changing moving forward despite us swapping titles."

Todd was a two-time captain of the men's lacrosse team at Cabrini College where he graduated in 1997. A 1993 graduate of Hugh C. Williams High School in Canton, Todd played lacrosse and football under the tutelage of Bradman. 

Coach Todd went on to officiate high school boys' lacrosse in Pennsylvania for two years after graduating from Cabrini. Following his officiating days Todd coached boys' youth lacrosse in Burnt Hills, NY for three years (2011-2013) before coaching boys' youth lacrosse in Canton, while also assisting the Roos during that time.
