Hannah Brady

Hannah Brady enters her third season as an assistant coach with the SUNY Canton women’s hockey program during the 2021-22 season.

Brady helped lead the Roos to eight wins during the 2019-20 season as the team finished the year winning four of their final five games, including a pair of victories (4-3 OT, 3-1) v. SUNY Potsdam to take the season series from the Bears. The 2019-20 season marked the Roos first year in the Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) with perennial national powerhouse Plattsburgh State who has won seven national championships.

Brady, a 2019 graduate of SUNY Canton, was a four year member for the Roos women’s hockey team, appearing in 103 contests totaling 27 points on 10 goals and 17 assists. The Jeannette, PA native helped lead the team to four straight Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) playoff berths.

"I am extremely excited to have Hannah join our staff,” LaBaff said. “Hannah is one of the most respected players to have ever been a part of our program both on and off the ice. She brings a wealth of knowledge about the game of hockey, and she will no doubt continue to have a positive impact on the family that is SUNY Canton women's hockey."

Prior to coming to Canton Brady played for the Hockey Training Institute (HTI) Stars during the 2014-15 season where she was a team captain and earned the Star Award for the highest overall contribution to the program. She also received the MVP title at a high school tournament in Kingston, Ontario.

"I am honored to continue to be a part of the SUNY Canton women’s hockey program,” Brady said. “I am excited to bring my playing experience and now shift to a role behind the bench. I have learned a lot while volunteering at the Hockey Training Institute over the past few summers and I cannot wait to help build this program and work alongside Coach Labaff."

Brady was also a volunteer coach at HTI during the summers from 2016 to 2019 and coached a U-19 team at the Beantown Showcase in Boston. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from SUNY Canton in May 2019.
