• Cassie attended Marathon High School, where she played field hockey, basketball, and softball
• In softball, she was captain for three seasons, named First and Second Team IAC All-Star, and was named a part of the All-Greater Cortland County Softball Team in 2024
• In field hockey was named First and Second Team IAC All-Star
• Named the Section IV Character Counts Award Recipient in 2023 and 2024
• Received the Gerry McDonald Award from her high school for her leadership, character, and sportsmanship

Who is Your Personal Hero/Idol and Why? My Aunt Karen is an amazing role model for women. She has coached my high school varsity field hockey team for 50 years and even started the program the year Title IX was passed. She strives to be the role model every athlete looks up to.

Why Did You Choose SUNY Canton? I chose SUNY Canton because it reminded me of home, and there was a strong sense of family on the team.
What Do You Like Most About SUNY Canton? The hometown feeling that it gives 
Who is Your Favorite SUNY Canton Professor and Why? Putney because she is very personable and she can teach you a lot about Veterinary Technology
What do you like most about your sports team/coach at SUNY Canton? That we can joke around and have a good time at practice, but we also get the work we need to do.
