2022 Season

• Started six of the 18 matches he appeared in, scoring two goals
• Named to the NAC Fall 2022 All-Academic Team

2021 Season

• Started 2 of the 15 matches he appeared in during his first full season with the Roos
• Tallied 3 points on a goal and assist with 6 shots and 4 shots on target
• Scored his first collegiate goal in a loss v. Thomas (9/26/21)
• Named to the NAC Fall 2021 All-Academic Team

• The Roos competed in three exhibition matches during the spring of 2021 due to COVID-19

• Joey played five years of varsity soccer at Carthage High School
• His team won the Frontier League Championship when he was in eighth grade
• As a sophomore he was a Frontier League Honorable Mention All-Star
• Named a Frontier League All-Star as a junior and senior

What is a Little Known Fact About Yourself? I’ve traveled to over 10 countries. 
Who is Your Personal Hero/Idol and Why? My stepdad for sure. My mom and stepdad just got married a little over a year ago and definitely was a huge thing for me and my mom. Dan has always been the person I could come to for literally anything at all. I’m so thankful to have him in my life.

Why Did You Chose SUNY Canton: SUNY Canton always felt like home to me, ever since I first stepped foot on campus in 9th grade I never thought of going anywhere else. 
What Do You Like Most About SUNY Canton: The great athletic facilities and staff. 
What do you like most about your sports team/coach at SUNY Canton: I’ve been attending ID camps ran by the men’s soccer team and Coach Penrod since the 9th grade. They both have welcomed me into their program since then and I always felt a part of the family and wanted to be a part of what they had to offer since I could remember. I’m so thankful to be a part of such a great opportunity to better my athletic and academic careers.
