Oneonta, NY – Eight different players recorded hits as the SUNY Canton baseball team opened a three game weekend series with a loss at SUNY Oneonta on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oneonta jumped out to an early 7-0 lead through two innings scoring six runs in the first and two more in the second inning.
- The Red Dragons tacked on nine runs in the sixth and two more in the eighth for the 18-0 final.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Eight different Roos recorded hits on Saturday with Brendan Finnegan going 1-for-1 as a pinch-hitter and Matthew Brandes and Danny Santana recording a hit each in their two at-bats.
- John LaPorte, Eliezer Vazquez, Nick Barone, Mike Henry and Frank Nieto also registered hits on the day for the Roos.
- Sean Liquori and Liam Kaseta had multi-hit outings for the hosts with Liquori driving in three runs. Â
- Liquori picked up the win for Oneonta tossing six innings of scoreless ball scattering five hits with three strike outs and a walk. Brendan McGowan threw the final three innings allowing just three hits with three strike outs and a walk to pick up the save.
- Kayden Guerin took the loss giving up seven earned runs in five innings.
