Canton, NY – For the second consecutive game the SUNY Canton women' basketball team set the single-game made threes record as they knocked down 19 threes in a 105-34 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win against VTSU Johnson on Saturday.
With the win the team improves to 20-5 on the season posting the Roos first 20 win season in the D-III era and the first since the 2006-07 team finished 23-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos jumped out to a 24-8 lead after the opening quarter behind six three-pointers, four of which came from Sierra Pabo.
- Canton dominated play in the second quarter by a score of 27-7 to take a commanding 51-15 lead into intermission. Sierra Pabo had 18 points in the first half, while Hope Aniceto had nine as all nine of the duo's baskets were three-pointers. Canton was 11-for-20 in the opening half from long distance.
- Canton continued to control things outscoring the Badgers 54-19 in the second half cruising to victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Aniceto led all players with 26 points shooting 8-for-15 from three-point range, while Pabo posted 25 points hitting seven of her 12 threes and added six assists. Abby Hart supplied 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting including a 4-for-6 mark from deep. It was her highest point total in a Roo uniform. Sadey Sprabary posted eight points and six rebounds on 3-for-5 shooting, while Torie Moore added six points and seven rebounds.
- The Roos 19 made three-pointers sets a new single-game program record breaking the previous mark they set with 16 on Monday night at Paul Smith's.
- Gabby Wardwell led the Badgers with 18 points and 18 rebounds.
- The Roos had the upper hand in rebounds (51-30), bench points (46-6), fast break points (20-0), points in the paint (38-10) and points off turnovers (29-8).
WHAT'S NEXT?
This concludes the regular season for the women's basketball team as they have qualified for postseason play in the NAC Tournament, which will begin next weekend. The official postseason seedings and release will be announced Tuesday evening after the completion of all regular season conference games.
