Plattsburgh, NY – Host Plattsburgh State scored a goal in each half to earn a 2-0 SUNYAC win against the SUNY Canton women's soccer team in the final regular season game of the 2024 season for both squads.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Claire Bottjer buried a late first half goal for the Cardinals off an assist from Macie Bolton to kick off the scoring on the day in front of a large crowd.
- In the 62nd minute Plattsburgh midfielder Jessica Mare made the game 2-0 off an unassisted goal which ended up being the final tally on the day.
- Senior Skylar Williams and the Canton defense held the home team scoreless for the first 36 minutes of the game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Plattsburgh State controlled shots (20-0), shots on goal (11-0) and corner kicks (9-1)
- Bottjer's tally was her third goal of the season.
- Plattsburgh senior Lauren Haley recorded her fifth shutout of 2024 season.
- Williams continued to etch her name in the Roos record book with more spectacular play in net posting nine saves on the day, leaving her with an astounding 184 saves on the 2024 season and 583 saves in four years at Canton, both program records.
- Sophomore Chamonix Jackson led the Canton scoring on the 2024 season with five goals and 12 points in 16 games.
