Waterville, ME – The SUNY Canton women's soccer team out shot Thomas College seven to five on Sunday, but two second-half goals put the Terriers over the Roos 2-0 in a cross-division matchup of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Both teams had their chances in the first half, with the Roos getting shots on goal from sophomores Caitlin Kelly and Meah Boyles.  Â
- SUNY Canton freshman goalkeeper Emma Cahill was up to the task as well, stopping all four first-half shots she faced.
- In the second half, it was Thomas's Aminah Davis-Macias who capitalized first, scoring the opening goal at the 56:40 mark.
- The Terrier's Emily Gutierrez followed with an insurance tally at 69:13 to put Thomas up 2-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- SUNY Canton led the teams with seven shots on net to the Terrier's five.
- In addition to Kelly and Boyles, shots were also registered by senior Hanlon Crane, sophomore Gabbie Flynn     and freshman Maryann Durham.
- Cahill finished the game with five saves as did Thomas's goalkeeper Emilee Ireland.
