Williams Sets D-III Era Career Saves Mark as Women’s Soccer Closes out Season at Plattsburgh State

Plattsburgh, NY – Skylar Williams recorded eight first-half saves to help her set the Roos D-III era career saves mark but the SUNY Canton women's soccer team closed out their 2023 season with a 6-0 loss at Plattsburgh State on Tuesday evening.

The eight saves for Williams up her career total to 399 in 40 career games, which surpasses the previous SUNY Canton NCAA Division III era mark set by Allison Wakefield '20 who played three years for the Roos soccer team from 2017-2019 and had 397 career saves in 55 games. Wakefield missed her senior season of soccer as she was studying abroad. Williams also previously set the single-season D-III saves mark at 161 during the 2022 season.
