Canton, NY – Senior Owen Kwong stopped all three shots he faced to lead the SUNY Canton men's soccer team to a scoreless draw against visiting Eastern Nazarene College in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest on Senior Day on Saturday.

The Roos recognized their five seniors Jason Meneses, Joe Lombardo, Jason Hernandez, Owen Kwong and Brennan Harmer in a pregame ceremony.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Lions had a good quality chance early as Emilio Magdon headed a cross in the box but it was right at Owen Kwong who made the save.
  • The Roos had back-to-back strong chances in the opening minutes of the second half. Eric Randall had a shot that hit the left post and went across to the right post before bouncing out to Jack Ferris. His shot from a sharp angle was then saved by Gabriel Viau.
  • Neither team would register another shot on target the rest of the way in a physical game.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • ENC held the upper hand in shots (14-6), shots on goal (3-1) and corner kicks (3-1).
  • Kwong finished with three saves in his BLANK shutout of the year, while Viau stopped the lone shot he faced.
