Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton women's hockey team is receiving votes in the United States College Hockey Online (USCHO) Top 15 national poll for the first time in program history.  

The Roos received one vote in the Top 15 poll after earning a 0-0 tie at Oswego State on Saturday and a 3-2 win at Buffalo State on Friday. The Lakers were previously ranked No. 15 in the country and are currently receiving 12 votes in this week's USCHO poll. SUNY Canton remains ranked No. 15 in the D-III Hockey News Top 15 poll.

SUNY Canton returns to action on Friday when it visits SUNY Cortland. The Red Dragons received two votes in this week's USCHO poll. Plattsburgh State is ranked No. 3 in the USCHO Poll as four different Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) teams are ranked or receiving votes in the poll.

Gustavus Adolphus is ranked first with 15 first-place votes, while UW-River Falls is second with four first-place votes. Amherst sits fourth with the other first-place vote and Adrian rounds out the top five.
