Esports off to Strong Start to Spring Semester, Surpass 70 Win Mark

Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton Esports teams are off to a strong start to the spring 2022 semester as the Roos teams have combined for a 73-61 record through matches played on Monday, March 21st.  The teams began their spring semester play at the very end of January.
 
The Roos have teams competing in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) in the titles of Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch, Halo Infinite, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Valorant.
 
SUNY Canton features teams competing in State University of New York (SUNY) play in Overwatch, Guilty Gear Strive, Halo Infinite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Rocket League, Valorant and Rainbow Six Siege. The Roos also have League of Legends teams competing in ECAC and College Battlefly leagues.
   
 
SUNY Play
The Roos feature seven different teams with 3-1 records thus far in the SUNY league. SUNY Canton's Overwatch, Guilty Gear Strive (3), Halo Infinite, Call of Duty Vanguard A and B, Rocket League and Rainbow Six Siege A teams are all off to impressive starts this spring.
 
The Overwatch team has wins over Niagara County Community College (3-0), SUNY Oneonta (3-0) and Binghamton (3-1).
   
The Guilty Gear Strive 3 squad has picked up three consecutive victories against SUNY New Paltz (3-0), Oswego State (3-1) and SUNY Canton's Guilty Gear Strive 2 team (3-1).
   
The Halo Infinite team has earned wins v. SUNY New Paltz (3-0), Nassau Community College (3-0) and Oswego State (3-0).
   
The Call of Duty Vanguard A team has secured victories v. the Roos B team (3-0), University at Buffalo (3-0) and SUNY Empire State College (3-0). After the Roos B team dropped a match to its A team, the Roos rattled off three straight victories v. SUNY New Paltz (3-0), Morrisville State (3-1) and SUNY Erie Community College (3-2).
   
The Roos Rocket League squad has spring semester wins over the University at Buffalo (3-2), Nassau Community College (3-0) and SUNY Oneonta (3-0).
   
The final SUNY Canton team off to a solid start in SUNY league is the Rainbow Six Siege A team which has wins over the Roos B team (2-0), Stony Brook (2-0) and the University at Buffalo (2-0).
   
 
ECAC Play
Some of the Roos top teams in ECAC play feature the Halo Infinite team which currently boasts a 5-2 record through seven weeks. SUNY Canton victories include wins over Kean (3-0), Northern Maine Community College (3-0), Ball State (3-0), Catholic (3-0), and Wilson (3-0).  
 
   
SUNY Canton's Rainbow Six Siege (A) team sits at 5-3 during spring play with wins over Averitt (2-0), Fanshawe (2-0), Central Michigan (2-0), New York Tech (2-0) and Buena Vista (2-0).
 

The Roos League of Legends (LoL) B team currently sits at 3-1 with wins over Lycoming (2-0), Stockton (2-0) as well as a bye week. In LoL play bye weeks are considered wins.
