Sophia Munoz all reached double figures in scoring as the SUNY Canton women's basketball team used a strong fourth quarter comeback to force OT in an eventual 72-66 loss to Plattsburgh State on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos jumped out to an early 14-6 lead four minutes in behind 10 points from Aniceto. Canton continued to lead 18-11 before the Cardinals closed the quarter on an 8-2 run to get within 20-19 after 10 minutes.
- Canton led by six early in the second quarter after a made jumper from Munoz. The Cardinals responded with an 8-0 run and the teams played back-and-forth with the Roos taking a 33-30 lead into intermission.
- Plattsburgh dominated the third quarter outscoring the Roos 24-9 to take a 54-42 lead after 30 minutes.
- Trailing by 12 with less than seven minutes remaining the Roos stormed back ending the final 6:40 of the fourth quarter on a 13-1 run as Joie Culkin knocked down a pair of free throws with 31 seconds left to force overtime.
- The score was close early on in the extra session, but the Cardinals used a key 6-0 run to build an eight-point cushion on their way to a 72-66 win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Dayter led the Roos with 16 points and tied a career-high with 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Aniceto tallied a career-high 14 points, while Munoz totaled 10 points and six rebounds. Culkin chipped in nine points, six rebounds and a game-high four steals. Jayda Pina registered six points and six boards.
- Kortney McCarthy pumped in a game-high 25 points for Plattsburgh, while Jaden Wilson (13), Payton Couture (10) and Imani Walcott (10) all reached double figures.
- Plattsburgh shot 24-for-37 from the free throw line, while the Roos were 16-for-25. The teams combined for 56 fouls with four players fouling out of the game, including three guards for the hosts.
- Canton held the edge in second chance points (17-8) and points in the paint (36-24), while the Cardinals had the advantage in points off turnovers (19-11) and bench points (26-13).
