Morrisville, NY – Whitney Bernier scored her second goal of the season but the SUNY Canton women's hockey team dropped a 2-1 road contest at Morrisville State in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) action on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After a scoreless opening period, Morrisville converted at 9:26 of the middle period when Mackenzie Lombardi lit the lamp for the ninth time this season. Brooke Susac made 19 second period saves to keep the Roos within one after two periods.
• Kyle Cameron scored short-handed at 6:27 of the third period, which proved to be the game-winner.
• Bernier got Canton within one off a feed from Micayla Macintyre with 4:09 remaining and Canton pulled Susac with one minute remaining but the lone shot off the stick of Noelle Niemiec was saved by Karoline Arvik.
• Susac stopped 28 of the 30 shots she faced on the evening, while Arvik made 17 saves.
