SUNY Canton, the baseball and women's hockey teams honored Jeffrey Hyde, who recently passed away in an unfortunate car accident, in a pregame ceremony. SUNY Canton student-athletes wore white jerseys, while the baseball team wore their camouflage jerseys (Jeff's favorite).

The teams and local campus community have teamed up to recognize Jeff during pre-game ceremonies prior to the Roos hockey contest at 3 p.m. v. Buffalo State. The Roos are asking student-athletes to wear white jerseys, while asking others in attendance to wear camouflage in his honor, since Jeff is an Army veteran.

Sheets of paper were printed out reading "My favorite memory of Jeff is…" Students and community members in attendance shared their favorite memories of Jeff, which were hung on the glass outside of the rink. SUNY Canton staff plans to collect them afterwards in order to share with Jeff's family.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Roos return to the ice next Saturday when they visit No. 1 nationally-ranked Plattsburgh State at 3 p.m.
